TEST on Wednesday, August 31. The topics covered will be: triangle classification, area, cross sections, volume, and surface area.
The "UnHomework" is due by Monday, August 29. The students can pick this up from me in school.
Students will have a test NEXT WEDNESDAY, August 31. Please watch for review sheets here and on Canvas. We will also be reviewing in class on Monday and Tuesday. The second week of UnHomework will be sent home on Monday. Please encourage your student to do these activities, the extra practice will be beneficial to them as we move into more difficult topics. We will be covering the area of composite figures, cross sections, volume, and surface area this week.
Hello! Your students should have brought home their first "UnHomework" yesterday. I wanted to take a second to explain this to you so that the expectations are clear. With UnHomework, students are given 5 choices of homework assignments each Monday. The choices will vary each week, both in difficulty, type of assignment, and content, based on what we are working on that week. None of the choices are required. The students will not receive a grade on the assignments. However, they will be rewarded with points for the individual student rewards system for what they do complete. Additionally, if students are not practicing outside of the classroom, it may affect their grade in other areas, for example, quiz and test grades may not be as high because they are not receiving the extra practice that they may need. For assignments that are not able to be physically handed in, a parent or guardian must initial a "ticket" at the bottom of the worksheet to show that the assignment was completed. The UnHomework is due the following Monday it is assigned. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the UnHomework!
If you have a device that can be brought to school, please BYOD on Monday, August 15th. Enjoy your weekend!
If you have a device that can be brought to school, please BYOD (bring your own device) tomorrow, Friday, August 12th.
Please turn in your student information form by Friday.
